The Brod wine-growing hills
Nowadays the city has expanded towards the mild slopes of the Dilj-mountain. Houses and week-end houses stretch across the hills to form proper roads and streets. Walkers of the Dilj-mountain are by all means recommended to visit the Mountain hut "Đuro Pilar" in the Popović grove. This is an attractive destination, very popular with the Brod mountaineers. Another good choice is the Brlić family summer residence, where Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić wrote some of her most beautiful children's tales.

Podvinje
Apart from the Striborova forest in Janiševac, designed as an entertainment park for children, we recommend making a stop at the Crljen ethno-village, just off the road from Našice towards Slavonski Brod. We will be glad to show you the estate outbuildings, which represent the typical farm property of the Slavonian farmers at the turn of the 19th century. Before or after this tour, you may choose to try typical Slavonian domestic specialties in the so-called "Bachelor's house". With prior booking, we organise traditional children's group games and creative workshops for traditional pipe making, held by masters of plucked instruments.
